Guitar Hero Live

This weekend we decided to try out the new Guitar Hero Live. Having been a fan of the previous installments of this series I was excited to see what this iteration had to offer.

The first thing you notice about it is the new controller. The buttons have been rearranged into to two rows of three buttons, black on top and white below giving the player a more authentic guitar playing experience.

The game itself has had a makeover too with it's use of FMV which, while it may sound dated and quite frankly cringe worthy, it actually looks pretty cool with real life crowds screaming your band's name and rocking out to your wicked guitar solos it really makes you feel like a Rockstar

The new GH TV system is really cool and gives the player access to hundreds of new songs for free. How it works is you jump in at any time and pick a channel (Rock, Pop, ect) and start playing! Your scores are added to score board as you play against other people playing the same song as you, and as you play you unlock rewards such as coins which allows you to buy 'plays' where you can choose from the entire GH TV catalogue and play any song you like whenever you like!
